Lee Broom speaks at Houses of Parliament

Lee Broom and Commercial Director, Charles Rudgard were invited to the Houses of Parliament to speak at an event on the terrace to mark World Intellectual Property Day on 26 April 2013. Lee & Charles shared the platform with Pete Wishart MP - Vice-chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for IP, Luke Johnson - Chairman of Risk Capital Partners, Dids Macdonald - ACID’s Chief Executive and John Alty - Chief Executive of the Intellectual Property Office (IPO).  The audience of around eighty business people and parliamentarians were invited to hear an insight into the IPO’s programme aimed at supporting innovative small businesses and hear from Lee & Charles how IP issues affect design businesses and in particular the damage that can be done when other businesses copy new designs and produce cheap imitations.  The event also marked Lee's appointment as an Ambassador for ACID (Anti Copying in Design) the organisation for designers and manufacturers who believe in original design.
